As their new Chief Power Engineer & Manager Building Operations (Edmonton, Alberta), you will be a lead a team of 8, responsible for the delivery of a range of base building, HVAC, equipment and maintenance services for a large commercial asset.
As the Chief Power Engineer and Manager of Building Operations, you lean heavily on your technical skills and communication capacities for interacting with a range of personalities, including tenants, vendors, sub-contractors, and co-workers. You have well developed skills for leading and mentoring a team of technical professionals, acting as a role model and demonstrating best practices, safety and technical proficiency.
You enjoy honing the professional and technical sides your new job offers. As such, you are well versed and proactive in developing and monitoring mechanical and electrical controls and services, along with enhancing and being on top of associated safety programs and applicable codes. You possess solid experience in forecasting, maintaining budgets and driving projects associated with small to large capital enhancements and tenant improvements.

What do I need to win this job? Your proven track record of 7 + years in successfully leading a range of technically/operations based activities and people in a large footprint building, high-rise and/or facility(s), along with your 4th Class ASBA Certification, will add to your ability to attain this position. Competencies in Microsoft Office and certifications in WHMIS, OHS and First Aid would elevate your candidacy. Lastly, your demonstrated ability to act in a collaborative and communicative manner will further elevate you in this competition.
