Free résumé audit · sponsored by AVID EXEC

Nobody tells you how your résumé actually scores.

Your résumé is the one part of an application you fully control, and you have almost certainly never seen it measured. Two scores against the exact posting you are chasing: how a hiring committee reads it in the first ten seconds, and how it performs against the posting itself. The\u00a0 gaps costing you the most points. And what the same experience could reach if it were written differently.

Why you are being offered this01

The feedback a search process almost never gives you.

A closed search leaves a deep field of strong people with nothing but a form letter. AVID EXEC would rather the people who put themselves forward walk in prepared or walk away with something genuinely useful: the specific reason a résumé performs the way it does, in writing, with a number attached.

Most candidates never find out. You will — on this application, and on everything you go after next.

AVID EXEC does not receive a copy of your score. We sponsor the audit; the scoring is done independently by Noticeable on the same rubric it uses for every client. It carries no weight in any AVID EXEC search, now or later.

What lands in your inbox02

Four things, all of them specific.

A human-read score out of 100

What a hiring committee actually takes from your résumé in the first ten seconds. Scored on the scan, the story, the evidence behind your claims, and the red flags you left unaddressed.

An ATS  machine score out of 100

How the document performs against the exact posting — keyword coverage, structure and parseability, title alignment, and whether it speaks the posting's own vocabulary.

The gaps, named

Ranked by how many points each one costs you. Not 'needs work' — the specific defect, in the posting's own language, and what it would take to elevate it.

What the same experience could score

Your résumé is rebuilt against that posting so the ceiling is a measurement rather than a guess, then the rebuild is deleted. You keep the number.

How it works03

Two files. Under thirty minutes.

01

Send two files

Your résumé, and the posting you want it scored against. A first name and an email is the rest of the form.

02

It is scored twice

Once as you submitted it. Once after a rebuild against the same posting, to measure how far your existing experience can go when it is said differently.

03

Your scores land in your inbox

Both numbers, the band each falls in, the three gaps behind them, and the ceiling. Usually inside fifteen minutes.

Reading your scores04

Seventy-five is where a résumé becomes competitive.

Below seventy-five, a résumé does not hold up against a specific posting. That line is applied the same way to every audit, and it is calibrated against what actually gets shortlisted rather than picked as a round number.

Every component is scored separately with a one-line reason, and the total is the sum — so if you want to know where a number came from, it can be shown.

The match score is the forward-looking one. It is not about a single application; it predicts the next fifty, where the document has to surface on its own.

What each match score band means
Below 50Effectively invisible to search
50–59Surfaces rarely, loses on every comparison
60–79Surfaces, then loses to stronger matches
80–87Yes-pile range
88+Top ten per cent of the pile
The part most candidates skip05

A strong résumé gets you read. A plan gets you shortlisted.

By the final round, everyone still standing can do the job. Two or three qualified people, one seat. What separates them is rarely another bullet point — it is who walks in already knowing what they would do with the role.

That is what a strategic plan is: a written case for the first ninety days against the metrics the role is actually judged on. What you would move, what you would leave alone, and what you would want answered in week one.

This holds even when a résumé scores well. Above seventy-five gets you into the room; it does not decide who walks out with the offer.

If you decide to rebuild06

What it costs, before you spend thirty minutes wondering.

None of this is required to get your audit, and the audit does not get better if you buy. It is on the page because you are entitled to know what sits on the other side of a free offer. Documents are built by Noticeable, our document partner, and paid directly to them.

The roles you are not applying for07

Your audit answers one question. A market map answers a bigger one.

Most people search on the title they last held. The experience transfers; the title does not. So the search never surfaces the roles they would actually win, and a strong candidate spends months competing in the one lane where they look ordinary.

Your capability, mapped to titles you have not tried

The experience already on your résumé, matched against the titles that hire for it — including the ones where your background is the advantage rather than the compromise.

Live openings against each one

Real postings, open now, listed under each title — something you can act on the same afternoon rather than a report you file and forget. Included with a rebuild.

AVID EXEC also lists its own live searches — see current opportunities.

Straight answersFAQPage

Is the résumé audit actually free?

Yes. No card, no trial, no obligation and no sales call. AVID EXEC covers the cost of every audit it sends candidates to, whether or not you ever engage us again.

What is the catch?

There is none on the audit. Our document partner sells re-engineered documents, and some people who see their scores decide to buy one. Plenty do not, and a meaningful share of audits come back saying a rebuild would not move the number much.

Will I receive the rewritten résumé?

Not on its own. The version built during scoring exists to produce a number, and it is measured and then deleted. A finished résumé is separate paid work with our document partner and includes a tailored cover letter and strategic plan.

Does AVID EXEC see my scores?

No. AVID EXEC never receives a copy of your résumé, your score or your report unless you wish to share it. We sponsor the audit; the scoring is done independently by Noticeable on the same rubric used for every client.

Does the audit affect any AVID EXEC search I apply to?

No. It carries no weight in any search, open or future. We assess the person against the mandate, and we always have. No record of an audit follows a candidate.

Who does the scoring — a person or software?

Noticeable's audit engine, reviewed against the same rubric its strategists use for paid work. Each component is scored separately with a one-line reason and the total is the sum of the parts.

What do I need to send?

Two things: the résumé you actually submitted, and the posting you want it scored against — the role you applied to, or the one you are going after next. A first name and an email, and that is the whole form.

How long does it take?

Most audits return in under thirty minutes. Scoring is always against a specific posting, because a generic industry benchmark would not tell you anything you could act on.
