DIRECTOR, CORPORATE FINANCE – Commercial Real Estate & Development (Kelowna, BC)

Our client, a successful and sizeable privately-owned real estate investment and development company based in Kelowna, B.C., is looking for a talented and collaborative Director, Corporate Finance (C-Suite/CFO level) to join their executive team.

COMPANY | You will play a vital role for a company that prides itself on generating legacy and building industry depth. They own and manage high-value assets and a diverse real estate portfolio that spans land holdings and industrial, office, retail, multifamily, and hospitality properties across Canada and the USA. Their deep expertise in development, construction and asset, leasing, property and hospitality management has fueled their continued growth and success.

POSITION | In this position you will work very closely with the President/Owner and report to the Managing Director, integrating with other company leaders. You will manage all financial activities for this high value group of companies, including financing, property acquisitions, developments, and asset management. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing non-business financial affairs, including overseeing tax strategies, trusts, and other wealth management activities, as directed by the owner.

This role offers you a unique career opportunity that involves overseeing treasury functions, supporting development and deal structures, and leading a high-performing finance and accounting team. Ideally, you bring strong industry connections in the equity and debt markets, a proven track record in securing financing for complex transactions and ranging assets, including an exposure to acquisition, joint ventures, stakeholder investment and dispositions.

REQUIREMENTS | In recognition of your 10+ years of leadership experience in real estate finance, encompassing public, private, investment, development, and/or institutional sectors, as well as your professional designations (CMA, CPA, CFA, MBA) and the competencies outlined above, our client will offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation package. The compensation package also includes a performance bonus, comprehensive benefits upon commencement, covered parking, vehicle allowance, and other additional perks. If needed, interim housing and relocation assistance will be provided to ensure a seamless transition to Kelowna.
