Our south Edmonton-based client, a successful and privately owned commercial real estate company, is growing and is in search of a talented Commercial Property Accountant (Edmonton, Alberta) who wants to progress towards becoming an Assistant Controller in a dynamic, vibrant and collaborative environment. Boasting direct experience in commercial real estate property accounting, you will be responsible for various day-to-day operational accounting functions for the commercial portfolio, acting as a second in command to the Controller. Your proven track record for being accountable for the end to end accounting activities associated with the portfolio, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with the Controller, Owners, Property Managers and other company personnel, will add to your success in this newly created position.

Your Talent | Added to your strong technical accounting experience and potential designation (not a requirement) is your propensity to act as strong right hand person and collaborator with the Corporate Controller.  You approach your work from a tactical, accurate and strategic mindset.  Your strong understanding of accounting principles, along with your understanding of the monthly work flow predictability, has been valuable in your managing end-to-end full-cycle accounting for commercial based portfolios. You work well in an environment where financial and administrative functions are conducted in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner, enhancing controls and systems as required to manage risk and meet company and compliance objectives.
