Director, Property Management – Commercial Real Estate – PLACED

Our client, a key player in the Canadian Commercial Real Estate Advisory arena, is in search of a new property management executive to lead their Edmonton and area portfolio. Having earned a reputation for operating with integrity, transparency and delivering client-centric services, they are excited to add a like-minded professional to their high functioning and savvy leadership group.  As their new Director, Property Management (Edmonton, AB), you will be a critical player in your new company, leading a significant team, ensuring operational success and objectives are met. Receiving support and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Property Management, you will lean heavily on your vast property management intelligence, self-reliance and developed interpersonal skills.  Beyond your capacity to add depth to the current operation, your aptitude to effectively communicate and develop authentic and transparent relationships with high profile clients, peers the executive team is key to your success.

Your new company has worked extremely hard on developing and maintaining their reputation, applying an in-depth expertise that has earned them success, credibility and leverage across Canada.  This is crucial for you, as you need to strongly align and apply your bench strengths with a like-minded employer – one who believes that the primary driver of business is intelligent and integrity based execution and the creation of exemplary outcomes.   As such, you enjoy leading and coaching a diverse team, building mutual trust, respect and accountability. Your penchant for being strategically hands-on, proactive and highly organized, along with your broad-based property management knowledge, are competencies that have assisted you in building solid teams that thrive and deliver service excellence.   Your fluid and confident personality and capacity to manage well through challenge have been key factors in your generating accomplishments.

Your proven track record for successfully managing a significant mixed portfolio(retail, office, industrial) and leading a multi-disciplinary team for 10+ years, including planning the executing capital projects (new/construction) will give you a leg up in attaining this position.  A strong understanding of accounting principles that relate to property management is also key to being successful in this role. A post-secondary education and/or specific CRE/Property Management designations along with the ability to practice with integrity will aid in your capacity to attain this position.
